Biography

Claire Pullinger is best known for her work in Asia where she has spent much of the past 15 years documenting the traditions and lives of the Tibetan Buddhist and Himalayan Community.


She has worked to support local and exiled groups to produce leaflets, brochures, booklets, articles and website material for awareness and fund raising campaigns. Claire has been involved in projects resulting in the construction of monasteries, nunneries and schools throughout the foothill region of Northern India and has contributed many images to magazines and book publications  and exhibitions worldwide.


In 2003 Claire teamed up with New York based writer Louise Light and is the director of photography on an extensive book project about Tinley Chojor a Tibetan artist ( see books ).


Currently based in the UK, Claire now works mainly on tv commercials and productions providing behind the scene stills, press and promotional material. 


Over her long career she has amassed a diverse list of clientele from the world of Buddhism to global advertising agencies, whilst maintaining her link with the non-profit sector and smaller independent organisations.
